"Mexico, Remembered" is an abstracted landscape using the colors and forms associated with my time in Mexico in the past.
The predominance of hot colors, reds and oranges, reflect my interest in these colors as well as the climate of Mexico. A small sliver
of blue appears in the paintings, representing water which is often sparse. This blue activates the reds. The forms of mountains and
valleys are abstracted and minimized by the powerful sun.
