Villers-Marmery

The village of Villers-Marmery is located in the north of France. My cousin and I passed through on a trip we were taking. I loved the colors of the buildings which bordered the narrow road.
This piece is a 5" x 7" encaustic painting which incorporates a toner transfer. Encaustic is a process in which you paint with melted wax, fusing each layer together. When polished it gives a luminescence not seen in other mediums.
