Allegory of the Senses: Gotham. Dimensions: 38" h x 50" w

As an artist, I am a dedicated stylistic and conceptual explorer, gravitating toward discovery and avoiding allegiances to genres of any kind. I create by giving myself "assignments" or self-imposed themes that I can freely explore in depth. I use my studio is a “laboratory” and my art as a series of “research projects” where I attempt to merge imagery and media in unforeseen ways.

The series, ALLEGORY OF THE SENSES, explores the ideas of fragmentation and wholeness, and the perception of color as a vital element of visual beauty. My objective is to create a luminous, interlocking, kaleidoscopic visual metaphor of this world: expansive, complex, overlapping, enigmatic and entirely unpredictable, yet somehow interconnected.
