Lauréline Epron

Born in France and brought up in with an artist father. I came from a complicated home in which I very quickly learned to bottle up my feelings into peace’s of paper or canvasses. I therefore grew up in France until I was legally old enough to move away . I chose to move to the US about 3 years ago so that I may expand my studies in the arts and begin in the art industry .
I am currently a third year, full time student at FIT  as well as a part time employer at The Edward Hopper House. Moving into another country, especially in a place such as Manhattan, my life experience has tremendously influenced my way of working with my art . From the techniques I use to the diversity of colors, making my paintings more and more accurate to the way that I interact with the world .
I have just begun to spread my wings in this new artistic world.
As I have mentioned before It is through my art that I allow myself to fully express and feel the ups and downs that life brings to me .
So far 2 of my paintings have been sold. Both plain air paintings .
One is able to be found at «The Burden Bottle ».
Now I only look forward to adding more to this biography as I keep growing and exploring .

Statement

This art piece is called « carried away  » .

It represents the feeling of a first love

The figure is shown stretching, with her back towards the public . This is to represent how this feeling of love is hers , and hers only to embrace.

it was made in a way through which there would be a relationship with the background and the figure. As the rest of the composition interacts with the woman, the feeling of love and her world are one .

There is no right or wrong representation of this feeling .
